Cancer research scientist turned chef, Pippy Eats (aka Pippa Middlehurst) is a well known Manchester foodie that started her career by running hugely popular noodle and dumpling supper clubs across the city.
During lockdown, she launched an online marketplace where she began selling her own range of meal kits and specialty oils and sauces, which also included her famous homemade chilli oil.
As demand grew for the delectable condiment, and Pippy’s customers literally ate it by spoon, she also dropped her very own noodle kits and ended up making batches of the oil at home in a seismic 50 litre pan!
After a short hiatus to reassess her small business strategy, the marketplace is now back open for good, much to the delight of Pippy’s loyal customers.
Taking to Instagram, she said: “I would never have been able to scale the way I did without help from others in the industry, who gave their time to give me advice and guidance, namely other women business owners – so, to pass this on, I decided to use my platform to support other women owned businesses, and the Marketplace was born!”
On Pippy Eats’ marketplace, you’ll find Pippy’s very own cookbooks, alongside some of her favourites from chefs including Jason Wang, Mandy Yin and Betty Liu.
As well as this, you can purchase her homemade chilli oil, a huge range of ESEA pantry items, noodles, cookware and products from female-led, independently owned businesses.
To celebrate the relaunch of the store, Pippy is offering 10% off with the code ‘RELAUNCH’. There’ll no doubt be more items making a debut on the marketplace, which has a focus on East and Southeast Asian cooking.
Pippy also posts regular noodle-based recipes and wonderful food content over on her Instagram page – where she shares her love and passion for authentic Chinese cooking with the world. You can shop the marketplace below!
