BAB is known for its exotic reinventions of the iconic kebab, but it’s brand-new mezze menu and sharing boards are the newest additions – great grub for sharing in big groups after work.
Now that the sun has decided to rear its head again, the pints after work devil is permanently back on our shoulder, which also means that we’re looking for places to enjoy a bit of tasty food after a few too many drinks.
BAB have introduced new mezze dishes, as well as sharing platters that can be enjoyed by groups of 10 – 20 people, making it a prime Northern Quarter location to enjoy the weather!
Starting off with the new mezze; you can grab the Goats Cheese Bon Bons – breaded goats cheese that’s crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy within, and paired with a sweet BAB jam, it’s a slice of cheese heaven!
They’ve also got the classic Hummus and Flatbread combo, as well as Harissa Marinated Olives, Prawn Saganaki, Octopus, Venison Kofta and Greek Chicken, a delectable small plate that blends flaky pastry with chicken, spinach and feta cheese.
The restaurant’s Crispy Chicken Wings also went down a treat, with their surprising kick from the Scotch Bonnet chilli and sweetness of the pomegranate molasses. You can grab 3 wings for £5, six for £8 or 10 wings for £11.
Alongside BAB’s new mezzes, the restaurant is also offering private hire for parties, meetings and events, providing food packages and platters for groups of 10 – 20, which must be booked in advance by calling or emailing BAB on 0161 806 0813 / info@babnq.co.uk.
To start off with you can enjoy the Mixed Platter (£22 per person), which comes with Prawn Frites with lime mayo, Halloumi served with Greek style chimichuri, Flatbread, Hummus, Red Pepper Feta Dip, Chicken skewers, Meatballs, Deep fried Squid, Chicken Wings and Lamb Adana.
And, for the veggies in the group, BAB has put together a selection of dishes that categorically prove the vegetarian diet to be a deliciously diverse one to follow (and no, it’s not just full of lettuce leaves).
The Veggie Platter (£16 per person) consists of Padron Peppers, Stuffed Peppers, Hummus, Halloumi with Greek style Chimichuri, Flatbread, Red Pepper Feta Dip, Tzatziki and Greek fries. See, I told you, not a lettuce leaf in sight.
If you’re reading this thinking, ‘this sounds banging, but I want to book in for more than 20 people, HELP’, fear not, as BAB has also announced platters for you, too. You can choose from different menus that include small plates such as Chicken Skewers, Greek Fries, Flatbreads, Tomatokeftedes, Olives and Lamb, and this menu can only be booked via phone or email.
