Firehouse’s Oyster Mushroom Wellington
Manchester’s very best cabaret roast can be found at Firehouse, where you’ll not only be treated to a banging Oyster Mushroom Wellington – you’ll also get DJs, drag performers and catwalk dancers, too. Firehouse also serves a great selection of sides, including Cauliflower Cheese, Yorkshire Puddings and extra lashings of gravy, which is always necessary.

Allotment Vegan Eatery’s Aubergine Steak Roast Dinner
It’s no surprise that Manchester’s award-winning vegan restaurant, The Allotment does an incredible roast! You can start off with either the Soup, Cauliflower Wings or Satay Skewers, then the star of the show comes in the form of either an Aubergine Steak roast or a Leek and Potato Cake with all of the trimmings. It’s temporarily closed due to relocation, but when its new site opens on Cathedral Gardens make sure to get yourself down for a Sunday treat!

Prestwich Social’s Vegan Nut Roast
Social Sundays at Prestwich Social consist of a quiz, live music, HUGE cocktail trees and they haven’t forgotten about us vegetarians either, as you’ll find a Vegan Nut Roast on the menu! This comes with roast potatoes, a homemade Yorkshire pudding, braised red cabbage, carrot and swede mash, seasonal greens and proper homemade gravy! Yum!

Evelyn’s Roasted Cauliflower & Laksa Gravy
Every Sunday from 12pm, Evelyn’s serves up their sumptuous vegan roast, which comes with roasted cauliflower and a vegan laksa gravy. They’ve also got an amazing menu offering alternative Sunday dishes, including Fish and Chips and the ECB Cheeseburger – great for when you feel like mixing things up!

Ducie Street Warehouse’s Vegan Roast & Cauliflower Cheese Menu
Every Sunday DSW goes all out with their roasts, featuring a weekly changing vegan option served with roast potatoes from Massey’s local Cheshire farm, homemade giant Yorkshire’s, seasonal veg and meat or vegan gravy. What really sets this place apart though is their massive Cauliflower Cheese Menu to accompany your roast, featuring a choice including a classic vintage cheddar cauliflower cheesetrufflebacon frazzlesblue cheesemacaroni or a totally vegan cauliflower cheese.

The Refuge’s Vegan Pithivier
The Refuge serves an exquisite vegan roast – a pithivier, which is a round, enclosed pie usually made by baking two disks of puff pastry, with a vegan friendly stuffing! You can also accompany the meal with the restaurant’s ‘3 sides for £12’ offer, which consists of Sage and Onion Stuffing Balls, Vimto Braised Red Cabbage and Cauliflower Cheese among many others.

Trof’s Rotating Vegetarian Sunday Roast
Trof has been bashing out epic Sunday roasts for the past 10 years and it is safe to say that they have truly mastered it. The veggie option changes regularly, but you can always be assured that it will be something decent. All the options are served with seasonal veg, proper roast potatoes and really thick veggie gravy, which will have even the most avid meat eater converted. These babies fly out quickly, so do not waste time and get down there quick-smart.

Elnecot’s Nut Roast
Sunday roasts at Elnecot are served from 1.30pm until they run out. The veggie option is a nut roast that comes with roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roasted carrots and parsnips, sautéed greens, cauliflower cheese and a rich gravy. This can also be made vegan when served without a Yorkshire pudding, but with extra seasonal vegetables instead!

Northern Quarter’s version of a cosy country pub, The Bay Horse is a home away from home to cradle a well-deserved pint in! Owned by that Simon Rimmer fella off of the telly, Greens is a fantastic restaurant in itself – serving up a delectable range of dishes all sourced from the humble vegetable. It’s the same with their Sunday Roast, which consists of a Truffled Mushroom Wellington served up with all the trimmings. It’s truly excellent and well worth the trip down to Didsbury for.

TNQ’s Kale and Mushroom Wellington
TNQ has been keeping the bellies of Northern Quarter trendies full on Sundays for some time now, and their veggie option does not disappoint. The latest is a Kale and Mushroom Wellington with chestnuts and the sides are phenomenal, too – with your plate coming loaded with garlic roasted potatoes, honey glazed parsnips, carrot and swede mash, buttered cabbage and a Yorkshire pud.
