I was speaking to a bloke from Wigan in the Bay Horse a few weeks back and he’d just demolished their Full English Breakfast at 2.30pm on a Tuesday and wouldn’t stop going on about it. Especially the sausages. That obviously meant that I’d have to give it a bloody good go and so it was only natural that the Bottomless Brunch would be the best choice.
Available every Saturday and Sunday, the Bottomless offer gives you the choice of one of the dishes from their menu, plus bottomless drinks for only £27.50. They’ve got all of your breakfast favourites including the aforementioned Full English (which was sublime I should add), Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs and everyone’s flavour of the month – Avocado & Poached Egg on Toast.
I do really suggest you get something with those sausages in it though – the geezer from Wigan was indeed correct about their magnificence. To be fair, I’d always trust someone from Wigan when it comes to meat. It seems they’ve all been bred to know what’s good and what’s not. Most likely from a diet of pies from an early age.
So, you’ve chosen your grub, now it’s time to choose your bottomless tipple. They offer Prosecco, Bloody Mary, Irish Coffee, Mimosa, House Wine, Bottled Beer or Hot & Cold Soft Drinks. Brilliant. Considering most places only usually offer either fizz or Bloody Mary’s – being able to sup some lager while eating a Full English is one of life’s true pleasures. Even better when they’re bottomless.
