Burgerism is expanding – with a new location set to open up in Denton, on the site of the old Pizza Hut delivery store on Stockport Road.

It’s the first spot in North Manchester, and means the hit smashed burger brand will now be able to deliver to Denton, Hyde, Stalybridge and beyond, as well as welcome walk-ins.

Burgerism founder Mark Murphy said: “Burgerism brings restaurant quality smashed burgers straight into people’s homes.

“Our dream is to be the UK’s go-to delivery burger across the UK, like Domino’s is to pizza. And Denton represents the next piece of the puzzle to do that.

“We’re super excited to launch in the North East of Manchester area. Right from day one, we’ve had loads of die-hard Burgerism fans making the pilgrimage around the M60 to Salford and, while we’ve admired their commitment, we felt it was time to bring Burgerism closer to more of our friends and fans.”

The takeaway was founded in 2018, but began to gather prominence in lockdown, serving up its smashed burgers from a hole in the wall in its dark kitchen in Salford.

It then opened a further dark kitchen in Ardwick, a concession at Freight Island and its first bricks and mortar shop in Gatley last year.

The brand has since received a slew of awards and accolades, and as well as being the number one delivery in Manchester according to Deliveroo, is also the eighth most-ordered takeaway in the whole of the UK.

It also appeared in the The Times’ Top 10 Burgers in Britain list, alongside names like Shake Shack, Patty & Bun and the pioneering MeatLiquor.
