Popular Chorlton eatery The Lead Station celebrated their 20th anniversary last year, and to honour two decades of serving South Manchester they’ve produced a lovely new cook book. The recipes on show reflect a day in the life at the restaurant and bar with breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails all covered. There’s more than just food though, as local history, supplier profiles and tributes from regulars add to some truly stunning photography.
Nick de Sousa, Owner of The Lead Station said:
“We wanted to celebrate our 20 year history with something that reflected what we’re all about – honest, simple, excellent food and drink prepared and served with passion and care. I am immensely proud of this place and my team; they are part of Lead Station and to some extent Chorlton history – that was worth marking. It’s a public acknowledgement of this and a ‘tip of the hat’ to all who have been involved.
The book’s something to which the whole team have all contributed. I’ve also used it as an opportunity to tell a little bit more of the story behind this great business and say a big thank you to our loyal and very longstanding customers. It’s the perfect way to mark our milestone. Here’s to the next 20 years!”
