Wild Turkey, the authentic American bourbon, is launching a series of events – the Wild Turkey 101s – giving you the classic skills to make the most of modern life. Masters of their craft will be on hand to pass on their know-how at Cane & Grain bar and restaurant in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
With its dedication to the best things in life – namely bourbon and BBQ, Cane & Grain is the perfect place to enjoy a Wild Turkey 101 Old Fashioned, whether at a masterclass, at a Wild Turkey music session or with one of the special drinks offers the bar will be running through July and August.
The Wild Turkey 101s make these skills look effortless, but all it takes is time, patience and learning from the best. These are the mantras of Wild Turkey’s Master Distillers Jimmy and Eddie Russell, who have been keeping up pre-Prohibition traditions of making Wild Turkey the right way at the distillery for a combined 101 years between them.
The second of its kind is the Sauces and Rubs 101 with an additional BBQ+A. In case you didn’t know already, Cane & Grain is a Finest favourite and a regular Friday afternoon haunt, and that is because they do the best BBQ in town.
The ribs are quite frankly epic, and we cannot get enough. If you haven’t been, give yourself a slap round the face and then get yourself down there for a portion of beef short ribs with one of their seven in-house sauces.
So, Wild Turkey and C+G are a match made in heaven, and this is event has got us all excited. Things will kick off at 7 pm on Thursday 9th, and you’ll get to try the rubs and sauces (all of which contain Wild Turkey 101, naturally), and you’ll even get to take a bottle of your favourite sauce home!
Also included in the price is a range of bar bites and three BBQ-inspired, fat-washed Wild Turkey cocktails, the Smoked Beef Rib Manhattan, Brisket Old Fashioned and the Maple Butter Bourbon Highball.
