Schofield’s Bar announces its first ever restaurant venture inside the Stock Exchange Hotel

The new concept will open in February next year.

The group behind award-winning Manchester cocktail bar, Schofield’s Bar, and the Atomeca and Sterling venues, has announced the launch of its first ever restaurant venture at the former Bull and Bear site within the Stock Exchange Hotel.

Last week, celebrity chef Tom Kerridge announced his departure from the venue in order to focus more on his London and Marlow sites. 

Taking over the space, the new concept from Schofield’s, which will open in February 2023, has been described as a ‘British Brasserie’ that will feature touches of elegance from continental Europe, all served with locally sourced homely and comforting flavours.

Head-Chef, Joshua Reed-Cooper will be at the helm of the restaurant when it launches. His impressive CV spans work for Simon Rogan at The French, Sam Buckley at Where The Light Gets In and Manchester’s only Michelin-starred restaurant MANA, where he helped the team achieve their esteemed accreditation.

Diners can expect traditional well-loved British dishes executed with technique using local, high-quality produce.

Joe Schofield said: “We aim to create one of the best restaurants in the North of England, right here at Stock Exchange Hotel which is a natural next step in our hospitality career. 

“Using the core pillars of our brands, we will transform the former Trading Floor into a space destined for food and drink lovers, whilst providing an exceptional experience for the residents of the hotel.”
