When the time comes to ring in the New Year, we want to celebrate in style. If you ask me, I want good food, good company and enough fizz to make the Eiffel Tower float.
I also don’t want to mess about with moving around. I want to get comfortable in one place, and this year that place is looking like it is going to be Brasserie Abode. They are putting on a bit of House Party this New Year’s Eve with food, fizz, cocktails and live music so we can welcome in 2019 in style.
So, here’s the plan for New Year’s Eve at the Brasserie:
We’ll kick things off at 7 pm with a glass (or two!) of Champagne whilst tucking into some delicious canapes. The sounds of their roaming trumpeter will then get you in the mood for things to come as you sit down for your six-course meal.
Enjoy a sophisticated menu of caviar toast, artichoke and truffle soup and Devon Crab cocktail with pink grapefruit followed by fillet steak with a parsley crust and braised mushrooms.
Quinta do Crasto port with stilton cheese will be the next course and finally, we will finish with Abode’s signature Champagne Trifle which is just as luxurious as it sounds.
After some coffee and chocolate truffles, Abode will turn the lights down, get the sparklers out and let the night-time party begin. Their talented mixologists will be serving out festive cocktails to really get you in the spirit.
At this point, you can enjoy the DJ in the brasserie, or head upstairs and join the band- Lusaint– up in the bar where you can dance and drink into the wee hours.
By 11:59 pm, we will all gather together to countdown the last few seconds of 2018 and welcome in the New Year the best way we know how. Then the music, dancing and fun will continue late into the night until we are ready to go home.
They will be handing out pulled pork sliders too at 1 am in case we are a bit peckish after all that dancing!
This event, with six courses plus cocktails, champagne, canapes, live music AND a DJ comes in at £99 per person which is really a small price to pay for all these sophisticated things in one go. Honestly, this House Party is your one-stop-shop for all your New Year’s Eve needs.
You can even make a night of it so you don’t have far to stumble home after all this with a stay at the hotel for £170 with a complimentary (and very hungover) breakfast in the morning.
