Taco Tuesdays at El Capo are SO popular, with queues out of the door most of the time, that they’ve decided that the best thing to do is to add another day every week – so you can get those mega TACOS on a Wednesday now too!
This obviously causes a few minor difficulties in explaining exactly what ‘Taco Tuesday’ is at El Capo, so let’s just call it ‘Taco Tuesday & Wednesday’ now instead. Actually, screw that – they’re calling it ‘TACOS FOR DAYS’ – that’s much better.
This also means that El Capo’s excellent ‘Wing It Wednesdays’ are, after 7 years – no more. But fear not – Tacos are LOADS better than wings and kicking off THIS WEEK you can get tacos from as little as a QUID every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5pm.
What can you get though? Great question.
Starting at £1 are the ‘Cheeky Chicken’ (Cajun chicken with avocado salsa, pomegranate pico and sour cream) and the vegan ‘Cali Cauli’ (roasted cauliflower with spiced chickpea and chipotle mayo).
Then for £1.50 there’s the ‘Oinky Porky Carnitas’ (served with slaw, pico and capo pickles) and the ‘Badboy Beef Chilli’ (chilli, sour cream, guacamole and nacho crunch)
For just £2 you can scoff their ‘Ha Ha Halloumi’ (grilled halloumi with lime aioli, lettuce, melon and pineapple salsa), ‘Its Fishy’ (Corona battered white fish with pickle, lettuce, pomegranate pico and lime aioli) and ‘Prawn Stars’ (grilled prawns with mixed lettuce, capo pickle, salsa verde and pineapple and melon salsa).
Finally, for the measly sum of £2.50 you can tuck into the superb ‘High Steaks’ made with rump steak, shoestring fried, chipotle mayo and mixed peppers.
