On Tuesday 13th December, The Black Friar is hosting a one-off event exploring some of the finest festive tipples with whisky brand, Edrington.
Taking place at its cosy pub just over the water in Salford, guests will get a chance to sample four single malt scotch whiskies, settling right into the Christmas spirit.
The Black Friar will open the doors of its brand-new ‘Choirs Loft’ private dining space for the event, that can also be hired out by private dining parties.
For the whisky tasting, Edrington UK’s senior whisky specialist, Michael Green will guide you through the brand’s history, production and distillery practices as you enjoy a taste of four varying malts.
Alongside this, The Black Friar will also provide nibbles and canapes across the evening that will give guests exclusive insight into its Christmas menus.
Established in 1861, the company has a rich history dedicated to crafting spirit brands of the highest quality. Based in Scotland, the home of whisky, Edrington’s portfolio is now completed with The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky, Noble Oak bourbon and Brugal rum from the Dominican Republic.
To kick start the cosiest time of the year, The Black Friar has also announced the opening of its brand-new Winter Tavern, which is now taking bookings for the festive season.
Guests can expect a candlelit cosy retreat complete with roaring fires, rugs and furs, ready for a season filled with warmth, nostalgia and festive feasting.
