Taking inspiration from the annual celebrations of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and Sukkot (the Harvest Festival), Bread Flower and Le Social are collaborating once again with an evening of food and wines in the KAMPUS bungalow.
It’s a really important time of year for the Jewish community, a time of reflection, looking back at what’s happened in the past year, and looking ahead to the next and planning on what to do for the better.
Diners will learn about the customs and traditions of this time of year, for example dipping the apple in honey for New Year and the tradition of sleeping outside in a hut for 8 days during Sukkot.
The menu will be paired with a curated selection of consciously-made wines and non-alcoholic alternatives by Le Social. All the drinks will be suitable for vegans.
Starter
Traditional Chicken Soup with Kreplach (Ravioli-style dumplings filled with seasonal vegetables)
Main
Tzimmes (Slow-cooked Brisket in a rich stew with honey, prunes and carrots) served with Challah for dipping.
Dessert
Lekach – a classic Jewish honey cake served with caramelised apples.
Tickets cost £40 and include three courses curated by Bread Flower and a welcome drink by Le Social. The optional wine flight can be added for £20pp on the night, and drinks can also be purchased by the glass or by the bottle.
Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. If you have any further dietary or allergy requirements, please make a note of this on your booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
