Manchester’s dining scene has been lauded with nominations in this year’s British Restaurant Awards. And one restaurant in particular has bagged three nominations on its own.
Adam Reid at The French has been nominated for Best Manchester Restaurant, Best Luxury Restaurant and Restaurant of the Year.
The high end dining spot, situated in the Midland Hotel, has been overseen by the Stalybridge-born chef since 2016, and has already nailed an impressive four AA rosettes for its cooking.
But it’s not the only restaurant in town to have been recognised by the BRA nominations.

The Peter Street Kitchen is also up in the Best Luxury Restaurant category, up against the likes of Le Gavroche in London, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Claude Bosi at Bibendum, as well as being nominated for Best Culinary Experience.
Meanwhile, The Washhouse on Shudehill is up for Best Bar, up against the likes of The Connaught in London, and hotpot favourite One Plus is set to compete for Best Takeaway.
The awards, now in their fifth year, happen on September 5, with voting open until September 1.
