There’s no denying that Bake Off: The Professionals is a nail-biting piece of television. The BBC show sees teams of pastry chefs from some of the best hotels and restaurants in the UK compete to be crowned the best patisserie team.
Ahead of the new series starting on the 24th May, Sale’s A Little Bakery’s head pastry chef, Jeffrey Koo, announced that he is ‘honoured’ that he and his sister-in-law, Venus will be competing for the prestigious title.

There’s no doubt that team captain Jeffrey has the experience to exceed in the competition – as his career started during his time working at 5 star hotels across Hong Kong when he was just 18 years old.
He then went on to open his very own culinary and patisserie schools, eventually bringing his talents to Sale, where his splendid pastry creations found a permanent home on School Road and in the hearts of Sale’s residents.

The award-winning chef already has a string of medals under his belt including the World Chocolate Master of Best Taste Award, a silver medal in the Swiss Creation Chocolate Competition and silver in China’s International Chocolate Master Competition.
So, becoming the next winner of Bake Off: The Professionals will slot perfectly into his already impressive CV.

The show will air on Tuesday 24th May at 8pm on Channel, with Jeffrey and Venus competing in the first set of heats on episodes one to three.
Make sure to tune in to support A Little Sweet, or pop along to the store to sample some of their finely crafted treats. The store has everything from Egg Custard Tarts, Mango Cream Crepe Cake, Coconut Buns and homemade Macaroons – all made fresh by Jeffrey and Venus.
