The urban village will be bringing incredible, independent street food back to the city centre safely, with a digital ordering system allowing Hatch fans to enjoy a sociable, contact-free outdoor dining experience.
Hatch’s independent retailers will also reopen for business on the 4th including the site’s barbershop, Scandi-lifestyle store, and shoe cleaning boutique.
Following the opening weekend (4th & 5th July), Hatch will initially be open Wednesday to Saturday, 12noon – 9pm and Sunday, 12noon – 6pm.
A new table layout will enable a safe, social food and drink experience. Dining will be at tables only, with table service, and the site’s new capacity limit will ensure that there is always enough seating.
Guests will be shown to tables where they will be able to order their entire meal and drinks using the Hatch Good Eats web page.
Each trader’s menu will be browsable via guests’ phones and QR codes visible on the tables, meaning that each diner can order, and pay for their own bespoke food and drink options from any of the traders on site. Meals and drinks will then be delivered to the table.

Rey del Cerdo: Hatch’s taco and tequila bar.

Abeja Tapas Bar: The smallest tapas bar in Manchester
Fuku: FUKU brings real Asian Street food vibes to Manchester.
Mezze: A father/daughter team bringing their passion for Cyprian food to Hatch.
Herbivorous: Vegan street food specialist founded by two enthusiastic plant-based foodies Robyn and Damian.
Clubhouse: A new Tiki Dive Bar set up in the heart of Hatch, with a wide variety of cocktails, beers and spirits available
Veggie Deli: Independent vegetarian and vegan specialists serving up innovative vegan wraps & loaded salad boxes.
Parmogeddon: A parmo is fried chicken goodness, covered in a rich, creamy béchamel, topped with a serious helping of cheese and shoved under the grill until melted and gooey. Perfect with chips and garlic sauce

This innovative operational transformation means that the venue has been made safe whilst maintaining the overall Hatch experience – great, independent food, drink and shopping from some incredible, creative local businesses.
In addition to the contactless ordering system, other new safety measures that guests can expect to see at Hatch include hand sanitiser positioned at entrances; new layouts designed for maximum space for socialising; increased cleaning processes; and, of course, all the traders have worked really hard to complete their own risk assessments to ensure each individual shop or street food outlet is safe before opening.
