French cuisine and fine dining are intrinsically linked, and both will be celebrated this weekend at Food Sorcery.
The cooking school is hosting a masterclass in the making of the region’s elegant desserts, taking you through the intricate processes of crafting a traditional French Apple Tart, Profiteroles and a Citron Curd Tart.
The class is five hours long, from 10am – 3pm, and will be hosted by chef, Victoria Richardson – a trained pastry chef, confectioner, cake designer and chocolatier who has a vast knowledge of food and an enthusiasm to share her skillset.
On arrival you’ll be treated to a welcome coffee and all the ingredients you need to make the three dishes. Lunch will also be served and you’ll be provided with your delicious French creations for dessert – with recipe cards also sent to your email address after the class so you can continue making the dishes at home.
The French Patisserie masterclass is for all abilities, those new to the dessert game and those already with an established passion and knowledge for baking – everyone if guaranteed to learn something new! Using quality ingredients, Victoria will tech you how to create elegant desserts great for occasions where you want to truly impress your friends.
Held at Food Sorcery in Didsbury, one of Manchester’s most popular cookery schools and event spaces, you’ll be welcomed as a guest and leave as a friend.
The school hosts weekly events that introduce budding chefs to the art form of cooking in various cultures and regions across the world. From Italian food to Vietnamese cuisine and Japanese dishes, there’s something for everyone wanting to work on their skills in the kitchen.
Based in Didsbury, Food Sorcery is also about to open another site as part of the redevelopment of Deansgate Square. Continuing its ethos over at Deansgate, Food Sorcery will continue to make people more creative and confident in the kitchen through its diverse programming and use of locally sourced ingredients.
The French Patisserie masterclass will take place this Saturday 7th May from 10am – 3pm. Tickets are £130 and you can book them, alongside other events, via the link below.
