The Queen will be letting us lowly subjects celebrate her 70 years on the throne this June, as we’ve been granted a couple of Bank Holidays at the beginning of June to have a right royal knees-up for Lizzie.
I’m sure that you already know this though, as the city’s many venues have come out in force to organise events and offers over the extended weekend, and the Northern Quarter’s Pen & Pencil are no different – with a packed calendar of stuff across the week.
It all kicks off with DJ Gareth James on the decks from 7pm on Wednesday 1st June (remember there’s no work on Thursday) followed by Anthony Craughwell on Thursday night.
Then it’s time for the Pen & Pencil’s legendary BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH – probably one of the best in the entire city because this one is truly bottomless – including not just endless booze but also FOOD!
For £45 per person, you can get THREE HOURS of bottomless brunch dishes, including the classic Smashed Avo with Feta, Eggs Royale, Benedict and Florentine, American Pancakes and even Steak & Eggs!
Bottomless drinks include Prosecco, Mimosa, Amstel, Bloody Mary and a regularly changing Brunch Cocktail special.
On Friday night they’ve got Nev Johnson DJing until 2am, while Mark Hogg takes over the decks on Saturday night.
In addition, there’s also a selection of special Jubilee Cocktails available all weekend – so keep an eye out for them!
