Pancake Week at Dive NQ
Dive always enjoy going the extra-mile when it comes to special events and as you’d expect – Pancake Day is no exception. Instead of doing just one day – they’re bashing out the thin little buggers ALL week for your scoffing pleasure. Available from Monday 4th – Thursday 7th, they’ll be flipping pancakes from 5pm until 10pm and there’s a few corking combos to choose from. There’s the classic with maple syrup, Black Forest gateaux (topped with meringue, mixed berries, strawberry sauce and cream) or the brilliant Mississippi Mud Pie pancakes topped with chocolate ice cream, brownie, chocolate sauce and finished off with a dusting of icing sugar. Lovely stuff.

All Day Ricotta Hot Cakes at FoodWell
For those of you who love checking out new places, this one’s perfect as they’ve been open barely a week… the health and well-being destination on the edge of Spinningfields will be serving up their Ricotta Hot Cakes all day long and you can choose either their sweet option with caramelised banana, maple and blueberries or if your more of a savoury type you can get the stacked hot cakes with crispy bacon, maple, apple crunch and peanut butter.

Push for Pancakes at Albert Schloss
They’ve changed their little labels at Albert Schloss so this Tuesday instead of ‘Pushing for Prosecco’ you can now ‘Push for Pancakes’ instead and get yourself a bit of sweet (or savoury) action. Their on-site bakery has come up with two super-special choices this Shrove Tuesday with a sweet, sweet crepe with orange curd inside candied orange zest, Morello cherry, pickled blood orange, whipped vanilla mascarpone cram & a dusting of icing sugar to finish. On the savoury side you can have an Alpine ham, cheese sauce, truffle oil, haus mustard, chives & a sprinkling of parmesan.

Dosa Specials at Bundobust
Not letting the simple fact that Indian people don’t really celebrate Pancake Day (well, a few of them will), Bundobust are forging ahead with their annual Dosa Day – a chance for people to try the brilliant Indian equivalent of our traditional version. They’ll be offering a Double Dosa Deal all day on Tuesday, where you can get two of their spicy, savoury beauties for £10, or one of their very limited Mango & Rosa Dosas which come served with shrikhand – a sweetened cardamom yoghurt – mango ras, pistachio and pomegranate.

Pancake Hanging Kebabs at The Botanist
Famous for their meat & veg hanging kebabs, The Botanist like to take the theme and run with it on Pancake Day by bashing out a range of hanging pancake kebabs which follow pretty much the same principle but are sweet (of course). On them you’ll find a range of fruits, sweets and even ice cream, layered between little pancakes and drizzled in chocolate or strawberry sauce. They’re proper naughty and available at all Botanist venues this Tuesday.

Unlimited Pancakes and Prosecco at Impossible
Probably the most indulgent way to spend Shrove Tuesday, Impossible are offering the people of Manchester bottomless pancakes and prosecco for a whole hour – where you’re certainly going to either end up in a ditch, a food coma or both, without much effort at all. There’s not much else I can say to sell you this – if you’re not interested in bottomless pancakes and prosecco – why did you even start reading this article in the first place?
