It may come as no surprise to learn that Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza was crowed as the UK’s best pizzeria after a load of positive reviews since it opened a few years back.
Number 2 on the list is also a Manchester institution – Double Zero 00 Neapolitan Pizza down in Chorlton – which I reviewed last week after a rather impressive visit on a Wednesday night (complete with my BYO booze from the offy).
Review: Double Zero Neapolitan Pizza
So we’re pretty spoilt for choice here in Manchester when it comes to pizza. Not only have Rudy’s & Double 00 smashed it but you can also find the likes of Crazy Pedro’s, Slice, PLY, Tre Ciccio and Honest Crust blasting out some spectacular pies to all and sundry.
If you find yourself anywhere else in the UK after a little train journey, here’s the full list:
- Rudy’s Neapolitan, Manchester
- Double Zero 00 Pizza, Manchester
- Paesano, Glasgow
- The Oven Pizzeria, Bath
- The White Rabbit, Oxford
- Dough Pizza Restaurant, Bath
- Civerinos, Edinburgh
- The Real Italian Pizza Co, Bath
- Crust, Liverpool
- Calabrisella, Cardiff
Talking of Tre Ciccio in Altrincham, they have been smashing it over the past year, so much so that they’re due to open up 2 new sites over the coming months.
In addition, they won Pizza Chef of the Year at the recent National Pizza Awards. Well done!
