Ahead of their opening in April, Honest Burgers are heading to the kitchens of the Northern Monk Refectory on Tariff Street in the NQ for a week from Monday 11th until Sunday 17th March.
If you’ve never heard of Honest Burgers, I can only assume that you’ve either not been down to London on the Megabus in the last few years or you’re just not that arsed about burgers in general.
Well, I’m pretty sure these guys can change your mind on that one.
With restaurants throughout the south of the UK, Honest Burgers are proud to make their British beef patties in their own butchery and their homemade rosemary chips are cut and cooked daily in every venue.
Each restaurant serves local beers from around the area and many restaurants serve up special local burgers using ingredients from nearby sources.
For example, head to their restaurant on Warren Street and it’s the only place that you can buy their Beef & Bulgogi BBQ Bacon Burger, a Korean creation inspired by the West End’s Korean shops, restaurants and karaoke bars.
On the other hand, a visit to their Peckham branch will allow you to taste a unique Crispy Fried Chicken Burger made in collaboration with local chicken connoisseurs Other Side Fried.
Monday 15th April will see Honest Burger open their first Manchester restaurant on Bridge Street (in the old Garage unit opposite Crazy Pedro’s) and so in preparation they’ll be popping-up in Northern Monk Refectory from Monday 11th March.
I’m not sure what specials they’ll have on the menu (if any), so I suppose a visit will have to be on the cards next week to check it out.
If you want to see what all the fuss is about too – table reservations can be made on 0161 236 9876.
