GRUB is known for its unique approach to dining, with monthly rotational street food vendors bringing unique flavours from all over the world to its home on Red Bank in Cheetham Hill.
The venue’s main aim is to champion local, independent businesses. There’s nowhere else in the city where you’ll find rare Korean dishes, traditional Italian pizzas and perfectly crafted Polish dumplings all under the same roof.
And, if you’re reading this thinking, ‘I’m a bloody top chef and would love for people to try my one-of-a-kind homemade scran’, then GRUB are hosting a FREE workshop to get you started in street food.
The workshop is designed to give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process of starting a street food business in an informal, friendly environment. You’ll speak to the best, most qualified people to answer those questions… actual street food traders!
Topics that will be covered in the workshop include the very first steps, common mistakes, menu design, the importance of visuals, what event organisers are looking for, social media usage and absolutely anything else you want to ask!
As part of the event, potential traders will be given the opportunity to submit their street food business idea. The team at GRUB will then be offering one on one mentoring and a pitch fee-free first gig at GRUB with a view to become one of their regular traders.
The evening will take place on the 11th March from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, and will look a little bit like this…
6.30pm – The hall bar opens and GRUB will start checking people in for the event and you can grab your seat!
7.30pm – Live Q&A with The Sri Lankan Experience and one other trader TBC!
8.30pm – Event continues with opportunity for more one on one chats with GRUB
Don’t miss your chance to be at this one-of-a-kind event at the North’s best incubator for street food. Tickets are available below – but be quick, places are limited!
