No longer the ‘sport’ of the massive bloke with the huge darby, Darts is actually experiencing a bit of a renaissance period at the moment – with Fallon Sherrock coming in recently and showing the men how it’s done.

She’s opened up the game to anyone, but there first was surely Flight Club – a place that re-invented the whole ‘darts in a pub’ thing and made it 100x more exciting.

First of all, you can drink Prosecco while playing darts. This is the main one for me – something which you can’t really do down The Lowerhouse in Derker for fear of getting a bottle of stout wrapped around your head.

Secondly, there’s the food. Massive boards of pizzas, fries, nibbles – anything really – all served up to your table while you are flinging arrows at the board.

And the board is something that Flight Club have revolutionised too. Gone are the days when you need to actually do some maths outside of school – because these interactive boards work everything out for you – as well as offering up a range of games such as Snakes & Ladders, Killer and Demolition.

They’ll be re-opening their doors on King Street on Saturday 1st August and so you can enjoy all of this and more from then. Head on over to their site to get yourself booked in…
