What do dildos, dance-offs and mobility scooters have in common? Bongo’s Bingo, of course, the UK’s biggest bingo party that mixes the traditional game with booze, cheesy hits and rave intervals as it tours up and down the country to sold out crowds.

Heading to Manchester again this August for a string of dates at Albert Hall, the award-winning bingo evening has announced that its next riotous party will be complete with a red carpet and paparazzi in honour of a new ‘Night at the Movies’ theme.

Grab your black Mia Wallace wig and your purple Austin Powers two piece, as fancy dress is very much encouraged at the next surreal bingo event as you battle it out to take home prizes such as Henry Hoovers, karaoke machines and even a brand-new car. Soundtracked by some of the biggest movie hits from the likes of Shrek, James Bond and more, Night at the Movies takes place on Friday 4 August.

Following the bingo’s ode to Hollywood, additional dates continue on Saturday 5 August, Friday 18 August, Saturday 19 August, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August. Fancy dress isn’t required for the additional dates, but there’ll be all the usual extroverted frolicking, something to keep in mind if you don’t fancy getting up on stage to dance-battle someone for a bright pink blow-up unicorn.

Jonny Bongo, Bongo’s Bingo co-founder, said: “It’s crazy we’re releasing our August shows in Manchester at The Albert Hall. Demand has been off the scale so far in 2023 and we’re getting set for our peak-time summer parties. We’ve got our Night at the Movies theme taking place across the UK, too – this is the perfect time to dress up and get dancing to some of the most iconic movie soundtracks of all time. It’s going to be epic fun at Albert Hall.”

If August is far too long to wait, Bongo’s Bingo is also hosting some Manchester dates in June and July; Friday 7 July, Saturday 8 July (matinee), Friday 14 July, Saturday 15 July (matinee), Saturday 29 July (matinee and evening). Tickets for all of these events are on sale now. Evening games start at 8pm and matinee shows are 2pm.

Quite possibly one of the most bonkers nights out you’ll ever have, Bongo’s Bingo has grown from a trial night out in Liverpool to now hosting monthly raves across the UK and even as far as Ibiza and Dubai. Over the years, gamers and ravers have taken home everything from a box of Coco Pops to a holiday in the Caribbean and a £1,000 cash prize, so the event is absolutely worth making a bit of a fool out of yourself for.
