GRUB have confirmed their acclaimed GRUB Food Fair event at Alphabet Brewing Co. will return weekly in 2017 starting on Saturday 4th February and the food, music and drinks are all being shifted up a gear. Last year GRUB put together an ever changing roster of street food traders paired with smashing beer and top notch DJs all hidden away in a Piccadilly railway arch. Visitors loved it and despite the winter weather and the competition from the Christmas Markets as well as big budget street food operatiors like Winter Gathering & Beat Street it was a huge success.
To keep the crowds of regulars happy GRUB have gone out and secured new top quality, award winning, never seen before guest traders appearing every week that are sure to blow food fans away. In just the first six weeks the public will be able to munch their way through Homeboys (Japanese comfort food from Masterchef finalist Pete Hewitt), Raceltte Brothers (the ultimate cheese trader has to be seen to be believed), Market Wraps (British Street Food Awards best looking trader serving yorkshire pudding burgers) and for the re-launch party GRUB has the official best streeet food trader in the UK Baked In Brick serving pizzas and kebabs out of their converted mini. Alongside the guest traders local GRUB favourites will of course be returning including Yakumama, What’s Your Beef Burgers, Mac Daddies and loads more.
On top of the food Alphabet Brewery will have a steady stream of wonderful specials to keep beer fans happy (check out their current bacon flavoured sour beer ‘This Little Piggy Gose To Market’) alongside new flavours from local fizzy pop experts Steep Soda for crafty cocktails and an expanded range of wines from award winning retailer Reserve Wines.
Jason Bailey, director of GRUB said “We couldn’t have been happier with the response last year, we had some really magic times and the vibe was amazing! 2017 is going to be even more exciting and we have plenty of surprises for the rest of the year”
The Grub Food Fair takes place every Saturday between 12pm and 10pm starting Saturday 4th February. The event is free entry and welcomes all comers including families and dogs. Alphabet Brewery is located at 99 N Western St, Manchester M12 6JL.
