A free day out for the curious of all ages… On Saturday 28 February 2015, Manchester’s free exploration of the eccentric, Haphazard returns to Hulme’s Z-arts for its second outing. From quirky quoits to crotchety crochet, freaky food to a jungle jamboree, intriguing images and offbeat oddities popping up around this historic building.

The first Haphazard in 2013, saw a tiny motorway of talking cars; giant geometric shapes making moon music and a squeaky, bouncy, ping-pong performance – in the words of the audience: “Lots of silliness and an excuse to have fun… Having kids there gives adults permission to play… Great to see playful, fun, imaginative work.”

Amongst the thirteen performances and installations dotted around the building, Haphazard 2015 promises a quick change act in a giant balloon, a counselling session with a larger-than-life bee, a jungle adventure and a brand new performance by queens of the eccentric, Levantes Dance Theatre.

“Lots of silliness and an excuse to have fun… Having kids there gives adults permission to play… Great to see playful, fun, imaginative work.”

The invitation is for anyone looking for a different day out to join in this eccentric afternoon of exploration for all: kids and their adults, adults and their adults – this is not art for children but art for everyone…

Part of Word of Warning’s roving programme of different new performance Haphazard takes place on Saturday 28 February 2015, 12noon — 4pm at Z-arts, FREE. Turn up at any time and come and go as you please.
