For the fourth year running, Hatch, Manchester’s award-winning food, drink and retail destination is bringing an alternative Halloween celebration to its fabulous dog-friendly space as they present Howl’oween! – Manchester’s Halloween party for Hounds.
Don’t leave your furry friend at home for the spooky season, bring them along to Hatch to party with other four legged friends at Howl’oween taking place from 12pm on Sunday 31st October.
Fancy dress is, of course, an essential part of every Halloween and why should dogs miss out on all the fun? Hatch is hosting its very own ‘Spooky Pooch’ competition (12-3pm) where the ‘Best Dressed Dog’s will be crowned.
This will be judged by a killer combo of dog groomer extraordinaire, Tom Heaton-Clarke from BBC’s Pooch Perfect along with a panel of some of Manchester finest stylists and costume designers.
There’ll be four categories this year including:
Best Small Dog
Best Medium Dog
Best Large Dog
Best Owner / Dog Combo
There’ll be trophies and hampers for the winners.
Hatch will also be throwing a doggie disco hosted by local DJs The Swaywards. Expect canine themed hits such as Hound Dog, Who Let the Dogs Out, I Wanna Be Your Dog, Puppy Love and plenty more! Pups are welcome to throw some shapes alongside their owners.
There’ll also be Pop-Pups from for a mutt-market to remember running from 12-5pm with a number of dog themed market stalls.

Howl’oween is free to attend, and doors will open at 12pm and it will run till 5pm.
The Spooky Pooch competition judging will be 12-3pm and the markets will be open from 12-5pm.
The disco will commence from 3-5pm.
This will be followed by a Back To Ar’ Gaff DJ and Hatch will, as usual remain open till late.
