Joker, The Way it's Meant to be Watched: With a LIVE Orchestra

This screening makes more cents than just another cinema screening.

Getting through 2019 without hearing about Todd Phillip’s Joker is almost as impressive as being deaf to Love Island’s existence.

It was the film that everyone couldn’t stop talking about (and still are). Launching a million conversations, and sweeping BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and Oscars, it’s pretty hard to deny the powerful combination of Phoenix’s performance with Hildur Guðnadóttir’s haunting soundtrack.

The only thing that could bring the grittiest and realest movie closer to home? A live accompaniment by a full orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall. Feel the weight of the music first-hand, and enjoy a whole new texture and dynamic to the movie that can’t be achieved by cinema alone.

The beautiful score by Guðnadóttir will be performed live to picture on a large HD screen, for the first time ever. Experience your favourite film in a setting that no one else is as lucky to have experienced it; this once-in-a-lifetime event is bound to leave you speechless (so you can finally put it to bed – I’ve heard all your theories by now).

Enjoy Joker in a new, vibrant way, that makes more cents than any other way.
