This week sees national treasure and all-round bloody good bloke David Attenborough celebrate his 93rd birthday and while he’s tucking into a Caterpillar Cake with his family SeaLife Centre in Manchester are putting on a super-special event in his honour.
This Wednesday 8th May, SeaLife will be hosting an afternoon of ocean-themed yoga, taking place in the view of Giant Green Sea Turtles, Black Tip Reef Sharks and Cownose Rays – all narrated by Attenborough’s very recognisable voice.
Making it quite possibly the most relaxing yoga class ever, the hour-long session will also give guests the opportunity to learn more about Sea Life Manchester’s ongoing conservation work.
Visitors can enjoy privileged access to working areas of the aquarium, including quarantine tanks and food preparation areas and a full guided tour of the attraction, led by Sea Life Manchester Aquarists.
This event is first come first served and guests will just need to turn up on the day with a normal SeaLife ticket and ask at the desk to join the yoga session. Alternately, you could try and win one of eight tickets in this Facebook competition.
The event will be running in the attraction from 2-3pm on Wednesday 8th May with places being filled on a first-come basis. Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and arrive early to avoid disappointment. Yoga Mats will be provided on the day.
