The biggest padel facility in the North of England is on its way to Greater Manchester.

Plans have now been approved by Trafford Council for what will be the biggest and most sustainable padel complex in the city.

The development, which will be located at TraffordCity, marks a significant milestone for The Padel Club, who already have two purpose-built courts nearby in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Hoping to get even more people involved in the sport, the new state-of-the-art 1.5 acre site will have 11 high-spec courts, of which nine will be covered and two open air as well as an onsite clubhouse, where players can relax and socialise.

The plans also include a dedicated fitness and conditioning area, providing players and members opportunities to improve their fitness levels and enhance on-court performance.

Kristopher Ball, founder and CEO at the Padel Club, said: “We are incredibly excited to expand our Padel Club to the vibrant grounds of TraffordCity.

“This new facility marks a pivotal moment for us, and we look forward to welcoming both seasoned players and newcomers to experience the joy of Padel in this world-class destination.”

The Padel Club will join a host of other fitness and leisure spots at TraffordCity, which is already home to Chill Factore and iFLY and set to welcome Modern Surf, Therme Manchester and Planet Ice in the near future.

The brand-new development will join other popular padel clubs in the region, including Club De Padel which is located at Deansgate Square in Manchester city centre.
