A new flat share scheme for key workers on the edge of Ancoats and the Northern Quarter will be available to rent in the New Year for under £600 per person.
The scheme is also offering 50% off the first month’s rent for those moving into the development in January 2024.
The brand new block gives key workers discounted rents for two bedroom, two bathroom apartments, with rent starting at £1150 per month – meaning you could potentially be paying £575 per person for a flat just a few minutes’ walk from from the city centre.
Sharers need to be earning between £17,500 and £35,000 to qualify for the discounted rates, with the level of discount working on a scale depending on your earnings.
Called Poplin, the development features 144 rental flats, 35% of which will be reserved specifically for key workers, with the discounted rent supported by a Social Impact Fund.
The apartments have been designed by the renowned Northern Quarter interiors studio YOUTH, with the development featuring its own co-working space, a bookable private dining room, lounge for residents, a roof terrace and an atrium space.
