Manchester’s annual celebration of all things gastronomic rolls back in to town this week, and with more ways to pig out and drink up than ever before there’s definitely something for everyone on a packed line up of events.

MFDF will be celebrating their 18th this year so it’d be rude not to toast that coming of age with a few drinks. Liquor Market, hosted by the Drinks Enthusiast, will give attendees the opportunity to taste some of the finest artisan tipples from all four corners of the globe and we’ll be giving away tickets to the boozy shindig which takes place down at Elixir bar on Deansgate on Saturday 12th September.

Aside from that there are a whole host of things going on, not to mention the festival hub at Albert Square where you’ll find all manner of master-classes, mini fests, parties, demonstrations and banquets. Details of the full program can be found here:

MFDF 2015 Program

In the words of Festival Director Phil Jones “This is a festival fit for a city that’s at the top of its game. It’s the most exciting programme in our 18 year history. We encourage everyone to get involved – bake a cake, dine somewhere new (or old), try a new beer, taste extraordinary wines, indulge your senses, learn how to grow, savour some amazing cocktails, get out foraging, donate something, soak up the magnificent Squares, galleries and the Central Library who are all involved…  Get out there Manchester and enjoy the city at it’s most delicious! Book your week off now!”

So whether it’s steaks at Hawksmoor, vegan food at Uprising or just a few ales at Festival Square there’s pleasures for all palates in Manchester over the next couple of weeks.

Manchester Food and Drink Festival runs 10th – 21st September.
