The Northern Quarter has a brand new artist’ hub and is opening it’s doors to the public this Thursday.
Up on the fifth floor of Hilton House is The Penthouse, a new artist’s work space in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The brainchild of artists Rosanne Robertson and Debbie Sharp, The Penthouse will offer artists access to their free contemporary, constantly-building art library including a sound art archive which will be added to fortnightly. It will also has project space and residency opportunities.
The Penthouse aims to maintain a rough ‘hands on’ approach to making and sharing contemporary art- seeing artists getting their hands dirty with materials and heads dirty with ideas.

For the first time, this Thursday, The Penthouse is opening its doors to the public and offering people the chance to come and have a look around.
Debbie and Rosanne want to invite and introduce everybody to the space, it’s current artists and its working manifesto. They will also introduce people to their early plans, projects and let people know how they can get involved with the following:
