So here we go, your top 5 club nights in Manchester this weekend. Taking a look at some of the more underground sounds the city has to offer.
1. Jaguar Skills: The Campaign For Musical Destruction
Jaguar skills touches down at Sankeys on Saturday for a night that promises to make even the craziest jungle cat purr. Ferocious beats and a sweaty dancefloor is what can be expected as he moves through some of the hardest sounds Sankeys has heard for a long time. The night also features the return to Manchester of Beardyman, always a refreshing break from the norm at any club night. Beardyman’s beatbox show is a must see, as entertaining as it is impressive and with support from some of the cities most respected residents in Jonny Dub, Rich Reason and Metrodome this looks set to be the big shout this weekend.

2. Micron 8th Birthday Party
Congratulations to Micron for making it to their 8th birthday, quite an achievement. They will be getting out the balloons and banners on Friday to welcome Will Saul to Joshua Brooks for some educated house and techno. Only concern I have is that there won’t be enough cake to go round.
3. Hit & Run Present Critical Sound
Its nice to see a return of DnB to The Roadhouse this Friday as it plays host to this weeks broken beat selection. Manchester’s Hit & Run team up with Critical Music to bring you a heavyweight lineup consisting of Kasra and Ivy Lab as well as showing off Critical’s latest signing and Manchester’s man of the moment Chimpo.
4. Swing Ting Label Launch Party
Established in 2008 Swing Ting has been stirring things up nicely at The Soup Kitchen with its blend of street and soundsystem music. After becoming a permanent fixture on the scene its great that they have set up as a label and with their first release SKANK produced by Brackles featuring the unmistakable vocals of Fox they look set to make an even bigger splash in the scene. It’s a non ticket event and at just £5 on the door getting down early on Saturday is good idea.
5. Red Eye HIFI 5th Birthday
Dancehall, drum n bass, grime and reggae are all on the cards this Friday as Antwerp Mansion opens its doors to celebrate Red Eye HIFI’s 5th Birthday. Headlining is Manchester’s very own Skittles along with the 8 Gold Rings band who always bring the vibes . With residents and support from several of Manchester top DJs this looks set to be a quality party. Expect a genuinely fun night and keep the chin stroking at home.
