Johnny Marr | 4th & 5th Sept | Albert Hall
Legend Johnny Marr played a handful of festival shows this summer, including Glastonbury, Tramlines, finishing up with a big homecoming show with two nights on the trot at Manchester’s Albert Hall, of course these have sold out already, however you should be able to catch some resale tickets on Twickets.

Grammy-nominated country singer-songwriter CAM heads to the Academy this month as part of her huge summer European tour. With a show-stopping voice and a tendency for that classic Nashville storytelling CAM is certainly one to watch. This intimate gig should be fantastic.

The Flaming Lips | 6th Sept | Manchester Academy
Alternative rock outfit from Oklahoma City founded by the eclectic Wayne Coyne. The Lips are renowned for their spectacular, eccentric live shows, which include elaborate costumes, puppets, confetti and Wayne Coyne’s man-sized plastic bubble in which he walks over the top of the audience. Run of UK shows to celebrate ‘The Soft Bulletins’ 10th anniversary, only playing Edinburg. London and Manchester. The Academy show is a huge sell out so keep your eyes on Twickets for any resale. The perfect marriage between Boyzone and Westlife continues as Boyzlife head to the Academy this September for a collection of their biggest hits. Okay so this might not be the greatest music ever made but I guarantee you’ll have a bloody good laugh and a right good sing-a-long too!

Skinny Living | 11th Sept | Manchester Academy 3
Four-piece Skinny Living from Wakefield have slowly been building a reputation as a formidable live band in the UK since their inception in 2013. They will perform at Manchester Academy 3 this month, if you haven’t heard them before now is your chance to check them out. The band is made up of four guys. A pleasant blend of vocalists, songwriters and musicians; namely Ryan Johnston, Will Booth, Danny Hepworth and Rhys Anderton with different musical backgrounds and influences. Grab your ticket here.

Pixies are on a huge UK tour this month; the tour coincides with the release of the band’s new album – the follow up to 2016’s acclaimed ‘Head Carrier’. Big News! LG plays intimate Manchester gig on his birthday with very special guest Sam Fender. The gig will also fall the day after LG releases his second solo album ‘Why Me?
