Hit & Run presents FOOD 4 THOUGHT this week, for its largest ever incarnation with an absolutely amazing line-up.
Essentially the night, like most, costs you to get in, but you won’t be using money. Instead, Food 4 Thought asks you to pay in using food and toiletries which will be sent to the Salford Foodbank. Any ticket profit made through online ticket sales will also be going to the Yemen Appeal.
Hit & Run have been hosting this event in May for a fair few years now and after a bit of COVID-related cancellations – it’s now back with its biggest line-up EVER. It’s been called ‘insane’ and I’m inclined to agree…

Sadly, FOOD BANK usage continues to be on an exponential rise, with demand currently double what it was last year – which was the worst on record until that point.
The cost of living crisis is biting Greater Manchester’s most vulnerable hard, and anything to help our local foodbanks is needed more than ever. This year all the food and essentials will be collected by Salford Foodbank, which is part of The Trussell Trust.
Also, whilst it’s not as covered in the media, YEMEN continues to be one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world, suffering a long-standing bombardment by Saudi Arabia, as well as famine.
Once costs are covered, all profits will go to the Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) YEMEN EMERGENCY APPEAL.
