On the 3rd November Manchester’s longest running club night Funkademia celebrates its 17th birthday.

Funkademia are not really ones’ for getting big name dj’s on so they’re gonna save the fee and let all their members whose loyalty have generated Funkademia longevity in for free!

When Funkademia first started back 1995 David Dunne was the main man at Manchester Kiss102 and was kind enough to give them loads of support over the airwaves which helped the fledging night take off so they’ve got David on the decks in the main room to take them back to their roots.

In the Babyfunk room they’re letting the very enigmatic Trafford Lovething loose to have his own Funkademia birthday party with cake and jelly and everything.

Funkademia have come a long way from their very first night back in the 1995 at the Boardwalk and with the continued support of their members they intend to keep on keeping on for a while longer yet.
