As a band (Trojan Horse) have, like many other people across the world, been shocked and horrified by the devastation that has been wreaked across Japan, by the recent Earthquakes and Tsunami. Not to mention the current Nuclear crisis thats unfolding.  As its so far away, they’re powerless to actually physically go and help with the relief and rescue efforts, as much as they’d desperately want to help. So they came up with the idea to do something they know how to do properly, and something that is more a celebration of a great country and culture, as much as it is a fundraiser. Thus Japanchester was born, and in conjunction with all the bands on the line ups and the guys from both Ruby Lounge and Roadhouse, they’ve managed to put together two gigs featuring some of the city’s prominent up and coming bands and artists. They’ve also managed to rope in Djs, artists and photographers to donate their work and the like to raffle funds, in the hopes that they can raise even more money on the night.
