Taking place across the August Bank Holiday weekend, Hidden has announced a mega line-up of DJs and performers that will join partygoers for an all day birthday celebration on Sunday 28th August.
The iconic club that sits on the outskirts of the city has been hailed as one of the current best in the UK, witnessing esteemed DJs and promoters fighting for a coveted spot on its impressive calendar.
It has everything you want out of a club; concrete floors, dilapidated walls and an industrial feel to it, with sparse lighting but a sound system strong enough to shatter the windows of Strangeways prison – a mere four minute walk away from the venue.
Making up the 7th birthday line-up is a range of the city’s top billers that will take to the decks from 4pm until 4am. Mixtress will kick things off, an Amsterdam-raised London-based hardcore jungle DJ and will be followed by Bakey and Riz La Teef who’s on the South London Pressings label.
The evening will then transform into an after hours soiree featuring Surgeon & Regis from British Murder Boys, an electronic collective known for their explosive live performances and DJ sets – alongside Detroit’s DJ Stingray, Objekt, Asquith, Charles Green and Aletha – a Manchester-based DJ well-known for her jazzy ambient sounds.
More Manchester selectors making up the birthday line-up include; Aalice, Misk and M-S-C, who are also part of Hidden’s regular roster of DJs.
Since opening its doors back in 2015, Hidden has been linked with some of the greatest parties in North Manchester and the plans for the venue’s birthday celebration certainly won’t break that association any time soon.
The club’s calendar spans every genre imaginable usually from Thursday to Sunday each week, and is home to esteemed events such as Homoelectric, Teletech and Hit & Run all using a pioneering, custom built sound system from audio giants Danley Soundlabs.
