Warehouse Project is always an eagerly anticipated event every year by music lovers from Manchester and beyond.
Its month-long parties see some of the best line-ups outside of the festival circuit, and, in the past, the event has played host to huge DJs, bands and artists, including Honey Dijon, Chic, The National, The Chemical Brothers and The Blessed Madonna.
Today, it was announced that Bonobo and Caribou will open this year’s season, returning to the spectacular confines of Depot Mayfield with a one-off opening concert, which begins earlier than ever this year – across the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The night will see critically acclaimed artist Bonobo perform a special full live show, alongside Dan Snaith’s Caribou, who returns to Manchester for this huge bank holiday doubleheader.
Both artists have headlined Warehouse Project in the past, with both Bonobo’s and Caribou’s hypnotic, electronic-based music already embodying everything the event stands for, and this year they will join more yet to be announced DJs and artists that will open WHP 2022.
The Warehouse Project took the Manchester music scene by storm when it exploded onto the city in back in 2006.
The concept, which now takes place in the iconic Depot Mayfield every year, sees groundbreaking, cross-genre acts perform sell-out shows in the warehouse space usually across a three-month period.
Its eclectic and carefully curated music policy means that one night the venue is playing host to live acts such as James Blake, with the next night drawing dance music legends as Seth Troxler, Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox.
This first announcement shows that Warehouse Project is returning to Manchester for 2022 with a bigger and better line-up that is sure to embody the city’s infamous club culture, by bringing together the very best party-goers this side of the pond.
Pre-sale tickets for Bonobo and Caribou’s headline opening show will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday 27th April and general sale will be available from Friday 29th April.
