We all know the story of the Gallagher brothers and their meteoric rise to fame, from their mum’s house in Burnage, to practicing in a manky car park in India House, to standing on stage in front of 125,000 people at Knebworth.
The rest, as they say, is history – with the band becoming one of the world’s most famous, and creating some serious Brit Pop anthems along the way, which are still sung here in the city pretty much every night on the Mega Bus to Fallowfield at 3am.
Fans of Oasis will be pleased to hear that this June there’ll be an intimate classical performance of all of Oasis’ biggest hits, coming to the iconic Halle St Peter’s in Ancoats’ Cutting Room Square.
It promises to be a magical night filled with candlelit music, playing tribute to one of the world’s most-loved rock bands. Listen to their songs as you’ve never heard them before, as the Bloomsbury Music Group perform renditions of everything from ‘Wonderwall’ to ‘Champagne Supernova’.
Tom Abel (pianist) and Matt Glossop (violin) from Bloomsbury Music Group will be performing:
