Those Nashville rockers, Kings of Leon, who sold loads of records to your mum and dad in 2008 after their hit Sex on Fire are heading to the Manchester Arena next month with support being provided by Sheffield lads The Sherlocks.

Caleb and his fellow band members will be playing their first gig in Manchester in 3 years as they tour to promote their new album Walls which was released in record shops in 2016 and went straight to the top of the Pepsi Chart Show.

The fellas are also headlining British Summer Time Hyde Park in that London in July with support from Pixies and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

This week it was revealed that Sheffield lads will be playing at the Manchester date, who with a reputation for raucous live shows, are sure to provide a brilliant introduction to the night. My mate Harry Lord is a massive fan – so this should be some very welcome news to him and many others.

The Sherlocks were the first unsigned band since Arctic Monkeys to sell out their local shithole venue the Sheffield Leadmill. The band, consisting of two sets of brothers have received great support in the past from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Annie Mac & Huw Stephens.
