In case you’ve never heard of it, OxJam is a festival like no other. Not only is it the UK’s largest grassroots music festival, but it’s also dedicated to eradicating poverty around the world, with all money raised going to Oxfam.

Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people who share the belief that, in a world rich in resources, poverty isn’t inevitable.

Since the Festival’s inception, more than 60,000 musicians have played to an audience of 1.5 million people, raising £2.8 million to support Oxfam’s vital work.

By supporting Oxjam then, you are also supporting your community and your local independent music venues like Hatch, you’re providing a platform for up and coming musical talent and you are raising money to fight poverty worldwide.

The Party at Hatch kicks off on Saturday 13th October and runs from midday until 10 pm. The day will include Live Music, Rap, Poetry, Workshops and more. There will also feature a special showcase from Manchester Women Songwriters’ Collective.

As always this event has free entry and there will be plenty of great food and drink to go around too.
