You’ve already missed the Worried About Henry and Metropolis night at The Academy, which was supposedly top notch, but not to worry as there’s absolutely loads of stuff coming between now and the start of December. It’s probably the last few weeks before you have to start going to loads of dead awkward Christmas parties with people you don’t like.

RTRN II The Jungle
@ The Academy
Saturday 10th Nov | 9pm – 6am | £15

Seems like the place to be at the moment The Academy. Nothing more I like than fighting my way through a sea of students to get to the bar for my 23rd pint of Snakebite. Anyway, Saturday 10th see’s Chase and Status bring their RTRN II The Jungle tour to Oxford Road with a line up to die for, including DJ Hype on Jungle duties, Dillinja, Nicky Blackmarket B2B Brrrrrrrockie and absolute don DJ Ron. Some of the true DnB heads hate on Chase and Status a fair bit but some of the jungle stuff they have put out can’t really be messed with. If you can get your mitts on a ticket for this you’re in for a right treat and a very special night.

Bou and Banners Birthday Bash
@ Rebellion
Friday 16th November | £5

I featured the Bloc 2 Bloc lot a few months ago and the team seem to be getting better with age. This month they celebrate two of their Birthdays at Rebellion with a Who’s Who of the Manchester scene with top bill appearances from Dup Phizix and Strategy, Chimpo, Chunky and Skittles as well as a special set from Revolutions, featuring T>I, Bou, Total Recall and Haribo. This lot are the ones seriously flying the flag from “traditional” DnB in Manchester at the moment and long may they continue. Happy Birthday fellas.

LVLZ: Skittles presents LVL 49.2
@ YES

Friday 16th Nov | 7.30pm

Before heading to the night at Rebellion you definitely need to get yourself down to this. It’s been branded by the promoters as a “sophisticated” session, yes, we’ll see about that. Two of the City’s best bands, 8 Gold Rings and The Jam band provide the soundtrack as Skittles and some very special MC guests get the party started from early. Expect additional DJ sets from Metrodome and Red Eye HiFi. All kicks off at 7.30 sharp, lets just go out straight after work then.

Hit & Run vs Off Beat: Plastician
@ 256 Wilmslow Road
Saturday 24th November | 8.30pm

This will be top, Plastician doing a special set based around all things 140 bpm. Taking in the sights of Dub Step, Grime, Speed Garage and Trap. Also second time Metrodome gets a mention in this article, pretty sure he gets a mention every month, definitely don’t fancy him or anything. MC duties go to T- Man and Berry Blacc with additional support from OffBeat residents, looks set to be a smasher.
