Oh to be 16 again. One of Manchester’s biggest clubbing exports, Metropolis turns the big 1 6 this month, quite an achievement in this days climate. From the all nighters at The Phoenix club to sold out session at The Music Box, Metropolis has outlived several of the city’s most iconic venues and they continue to go from strength to strength with a line up that features some of the games biggest players, as well as keeping it real with a room dedicated to Manchester talent. The night will feature Andy C, Goldie, DJ Hype, Hazard and Nosia to name just a few.
Hit & Run: VS Series: 1985 vs Box N Lock

The second installment of Hit & Run’s VS series see’s two of the scene’s most exciting labels go head to head, mano a mano, in a full bodied onslaught of beats and basslines that’ll shake ya dick off, if you’ve got one. The night see’s returns to Manchester of garage legend Mighty Moe as he hosts a very special set featuring Rossi B and Luca in the Box N lock room. Alex Perez’s label, 1985, will be shelling it down in the opposing room for the Drum n Bass (ish) heads, with notable performances from Fracture and the man Perez himself.
Red Eye Carnival: The Busy Twist + Mina + Lady Ice

The Red Eye HiFi lot are back this month with a big boy showdown at Band on The Wall with a night covering all things Dancehall, Soca and Afro, bringing World Dance to Manchester. Headline duties go to The Busy Twist who are guaranteed to have the ceilings dripping with sweat.

Worried About Henry presents… Digital Mystikz

The guys at Worried About Henry mean business once again, this time as they dedicate a night to all things 140 (that’s BPM if you don’t know what I mean). Any opportunity to catch Mala and Coki doing their thing is never to be sniffed at, add to that Loefah, Sir Spyro and Comodo, this one is not to be missed. Also, can’t write this without biggin up T Man, Big Up T Man.
