Manchester indie label Scruff of the Neck has announced the line-up for its new festival. It’s called Year’s End and it’s happening next week.

The day to night festival is set to take over venues, pubs and clubs along the Oxford Road corridor for one day only on Saturday 9 December – with 43 artists and bands set to perform.

The genre-spanning line-up is topped by indie legends The View and Vistas, up-comers BLOXX, Manchester’s very-own The Covasettes and Glass Caves. Also on the bill are the likes of October Drift, Bayboards, Melin Melyn, Beam Noir, Shambolics and Luna Blue.

Festival-goers will have access to the festival stages at both classic venues and newer spaces, including The Deaf Institute, Zombie Shack, The Thirsty Scholar, Bread Shed and Canvas.

Scruff of the Neck are based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and represent some of the UK’s top indie artists. They hope to bring together music lovers and industry heads at the Year’s End festival, in partnership with Marshall, BBC Introducing, 42nd Street and Signature Brew.

Speaking about Year’s End festival, Scruff of the Neck founder Mark Lippmann said: “Year’s End Festival will see up to 2,000 of us across seven stages with one aim: to end the year with one big blow-out and [the] chance to spend quality time together whilst enjoying our artists before the music industry Christmas break.”
