Situated at the bustling intersection of Chorlton Street and Canal Street, in the heart of Manchester, MAYA is a drinking and dining destination set across three uniquely designed floors. A refreshingly dynamic experience, guests are welcome from noon until the small hours across all the establishment’s spaces, each one telling its own story. First up, the Brasserie.

Set at ground level, sweeping daylight illuminates a room boasting cobbles in a nod to the surrounding area’s history. Here, you’ll find a modern-European style menu focused on classics, in a bright, lightly toned and open environment. In contrast, the Main Dining Room, set just below, is a distinct departure from what’s above. A sumptuously hued interior provides the setting for an ingredient-led, hyper-seasonal and regularly changing culinary experience. Crafted by Mancunian head chef Gabe Lea, who cut his teeth at Michelin-starred establishments like Le Manoir and The French at The Midland Hotel, heritage speaks for itself.

So on any given date you will find exquisite dishes like Lobster Ravioli, Sauce Américane, and Caviar Roasted Pork Belly, Boudin Noir, Pear and Sage, or Hand-Dived Scallop, Fennel, Saffron Clams and Apple. And these are just for starters. Beyond those, choose from delicacies such as Roasted Duck Breast, Foie Gras and Blackcurrant, Salt Marsh Lamb, Goats Curd, Isle of White Tomato and Spring Vegetables, or Beetroot Tart with Horseradish and Onion. Then we come to desserts, for example the Brillat-Savarin Cheesecake of passionfruit and mango, Peach Parfait, and Pear Tatin. MAYA’s philosophy is that dining is more than just a meal — it’s a holistic experience that engages all the senses, fosters meaningful connections and transcends the ordinary. The overarching concept here is “dinner plus”, so come for the food, but stay for exceptional drinks — from a vast, sophisticated wine cellar to masterfully mixed cocktails — before losing yourself in late night dancing.
