Seeping into the early beginnings of British Grime, West Coast Hip hop and global sport, what started as a running sneaker has since manifested into a cultural juggernaut, worn on the feet of small-town skaters, to pioneering athletes, and mothers on the school run.

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Nike Air Max, SEVENSTORE are working alongside a team of creatives – DJs, designers, theatre producers, artists, writers, and activists – with a day of free workshops, art, poetry, conversation, ideas, food, music drinks & dancing this Saturday in Liverpool, and you’re all invited!!

There’s a curated a panel of speakers, poets & live artists to explore themes of authenticity, community, sustainability, creativity, living well & taking up space!

From dissecting the scope of gender identity, to uplifting the work of artists of colour and promoting wellness classes, their practises are varied, yet share a common thread – all are united by championing and representing communities in their entirety, with creativity as the method.

Writers Shahed Ezaydi and Amelia Ellis, along with founder Kya Buller, are the three Northern women of colour behind the digital publication Aurelia Magazine, celebrating first person stories of women, non-binary people and transgender men.

Alongside, Girl Gang Manchester arrives as a proud collective of artists, activists and academics under Manchester’s Post- Industrial scape, where experiential events are rooted in creativity. United by their passion for football but frustrated with its representational scope, “Lecturer and Football Fan” Jacqui McAssey is the founder of ‘’GIRLFANS,’ who, along with Entrepreneur and ‘She’s Got Skills’ Co-founder Bhavna Malkani, aim to democratise, highlight, and sustain women and girl’s presence playing and supporting football.

Photographer Jessica Ross captures these accomplished creative forces, unifying them under the guise of one lens.
