Manchester’s Finest went along to the launch of The Beauty Project, Selfridges Exchange Square last week to sample the beauty delights they have to offer during May and June. We were certainly impressed! The Lower Ground beauty emporium was awash with people buzzing with excitement at the demos and products the make up and fragrance counters had on offer.
We tried our hand at screen-printing a bespoke Jo Malone box and had our senses awoken trying Chanel’s ‘blind testing’ which involved smelling their perfume range in a variety of unmarked vials (which meant you chose your favourite without knowing what the name of the fragrance and not being swayed by the bottle)!
One of the highlights for us had to be a one to one with Manchester’s very own beauty guru, Armand Beasley. Loved by the A-list and media alike and having worked on the Oscars, BAFTAs and numerous high profile shoots, Armand is bringing his expertise and knowledge of make-up and all things beauty to Selfridges customers.
He has taken on the role of Selfridges resident bespoke beauty expert and shoppers can book in for individual consultations with Armand in the Bespoke Beauty Service Lounge (Lower Ground Floor). Armand will advise on their needs and take them around the store to pick their perfect products.
