The tallest apartment block in Salford has opened its doors, offering up one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Called Eda, the stunning development, located at Erie Dock in Salford Quays, is spread over a dizzying 29 storeys, with 290 apartments in all.

Each unit has floor-to-ceiling windows with views looking out over the Quays and the Manchester skyline, and penthouse apartments at the top.

They come either furnished or unfurnished. The furnished option features king size beds with ottoman storage, fully fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms, L-shaped corner sofas in the open-plan living spaces.

Meanwhile, the kitchens also come fully fitted with utility storage, and the bathrooms are sleek, modern and high-spec.

The development also boasts a range of communal and social spaces, including a large private dining room, gaming rooms, co-working spaces and a cinema room, as well as activities from live music to puppy yoga (pets are welcome in the development too, at no extra cost) organised by a resident’s app.

There’s a fully equipped gym for residents too, which is managed by a dedicated on-site concierge and management team.

Outside, there are two large landscaped gardens, incorporating the possibility of al fresco dining. A convenient Co-op store, occupying 4000 sq ft, will be opening on the ground floor soon too.

The Quays have in recent years become an enviable location for everything from watersports – with paddleboarding and kayaking to open-water swimming – to arts and culture, with the Imperial War Museum and Lowry theatre on the doorstep.

Foodie folk will also have the newly opened Kargo MKT to explore, the huge new foodhall from the developers behind the Cutlery Works in Sheffield and the GPO in Liverpool.

It features a huge 2000 sq ft terrace area and seating for 400 people, with 20 food vendors, including the likes of Italian sandwich makers Ad Maiora, Palestinian cuisine from Baity, Burmese supper club Nila’s, Eritrean favourites House of Habesha, West Indian legends Jerk Junction and burger-makers What’s Your Beef.

There’s a Quayside makers market which happens on the last weekend of the month, and from Anchorage, the nearest tram stop, you can be in town in 10 minutes, or heading to Chorlton, Didsbury or Altrincham in no time.

Apartments will be ready to move into from Friday September 22nd.
