I’m sure lots of parents have had fantasies about locking their children in a room for an hour just to get some bloody peace and quiet – and I am even more sure that when the school holidays roll around, the desire to do so becomes too much to resist.
A little morbid curiosity comes into play as well. Kids nowadays are so wrapped up in TV, Smart Phones and Video Games that they have lots almost ALL sense of logic. I don’t know about you, but I think it is time to put that to the test!
So where can you lock your child or teenager up for an hour whilst giving their survival skills a little stretch? Why Breakout of course!
If you have ever been to play before, you might at first think that it is a little bit difficult for your little darlings – but that is where you would be wrong because Breakout is home to a plethora of two and three-starred rooms which would be perfect for kids aged 10 + with perhaps a smidge of adult guidance (which should be fun for you anyway.)
If you do not want something too scary, we’d recommend Enchanted (High Street) which has a 3 star-difficulty rating. You’ll get serious Harry Potter and Grimm’s Fairy-tale vibes in this room that bored kids are going to be obsessed with!
Down at Church Street – you could try another 3-star room called The Cursed Carnival where you will hunt for the creepy doll which is haunting your dreams. This room is super stimulating and full of surprises and physical challenges which I am sure the whole family will love.
I don’t know if kids are still into Cowboys these days, but if they are, the Most Wanted game (High Street) is sure to keep things exciting over the summer holidays. Search for the loot and escape without the Sherriff catching you in this exciting and exhilarating game of cat and mouse.
Of course, if you are worried about your kids struggling, you could always book Facility X which only has a two-star rating (the lowest of them all). This one you will have you escaping a maze of tricks made by a mad professor- and will show you first hand, how well your kid will do in a crisis!
Sounds fun right? That’s because it really is!
